A vibrant journey

Having been nurtured by a family deeply immersed in art, interiors, fashion, travel, and other diverse creative pursuits,

Kathryn Trotter’s artistry is inspired by a lifetime steeped in beauty and adventure.

Kathryn's artistic
voyage traversed
varied landscapes—

From studying textiles and fashion design in Texas to mastering the ancient art of trompe-l’oeil in San Francisco.

Her tenure as a head designer for a textile company took her across the globe, infusing her art with the vibrancy of places like Istanbul's Grand Bazaar.

With a style blending impressionism and a thick impasto technique, Kathryn's art resonates with stories from her rich experiences. In it, florals, landscapes, figurative pieces, and emotive portraits of all kinds, come together. Her wildlife subjects have been recently taken center stage. Her collections reflect a lifetime of creative influences including travel, interiors and fashion.

Kathryn treasures both her creative endeavors and spending time with her three children and her husband. She and her family live in Mountain Brook, Alabama.
